“And it will be a long time before I’d want to be playing in the Europa Cup I can tell you. If we ever look like getting in the Fair Play League I’ll be going down tackling somebody down in the tunnel!”

We are (well, were) top of the league!
I have no work clothes
That’s a lie. I do, but they’re in storage and are difficult to get to. Solution? I buy new clothes. RESULT.
My bank balance now hates me.
Summer Spending
In relation to the above post, I just thought I’d share a couple of things I have bought over the summer. This is the one plus side to having nowhere permanent to live. No rent or bills to pay, which has led to some naughty overindulging (do I care? Nah).
The items below make up an outfit I’m wearing as a guest to my boyfriend’s cousin’s wedding (it took me several attempts to spell cousin then, does anyone else find that some words are impossible to spell correctly the first time?)

I found this dress on ASOS’s Fashion Finder. I usually really struggle to find dresses for weddings, I’m far too ‘casual’ for that and would do everything in jeans if I could. Don’t get wrong, I do like wearing nice dresses when I go out, but my taste is very specific. It has to fit in the right places, and there is far too much ‘puffy’ fashion going on that seem to make me look pregnant. A lot of dresses are inexplicably short as well. I have long legs, but they are not suitable for public viewing without tights. Maybe I’m stuck in my ways, but I don’t want people to see my thighs thank you.
Anyway, I loved this dress from the moment I saw it. The style with the one shoulder strap is unusual but not completely off the wall, and the design is just the right degree of pretty, ‘girlyness’. It took me a while to pluck up the courage to buy this dress as I had to go for the size above my usual. I was really worried about this and couldn’t bare sending such a lovely dress back and waiting for one in my size. Luckily the fit was perfect, I dare say it the size was more suited to me. The fabric is beautiful too, it looks and feels like good quality stuff. In addition, the skirt falls nice and respectfully above the knee.
Now for the rest…

These shoes are from Dorothy Perkins, they were reduced to £25, and then to £22.50 - kudos to Quidco. I was going to go for pink shoes like the model above, but I didn’t think I’d wear them again. I’m not really into pink, so I thought if I went for a more neutral colour they wouldn’t waste away in the back of my wardrobe. The heal is HUGE too, my boyfriend is a little shorter than me with no shoes on, but I am going to severely dwarf the poor boy. I’m also hoping it doesn’t rain so the lovely fabric doesn’t get marked!

This clutch bag is from New Look. It was originally priced at £19.99, but I got it for just under £8.00 thanks to the sale (and a little cashback from my friend Quidco!) I love the design, and it certainly contributes well to the ‘flowery’ theme of my outfit! There is a decent amount of space inside, and it feels sturdy and secure. There is a gold detachable shoulder chain as well, which pleases me slightly as I have a fear of forgetting about it!
I’ve not bought any new jewellery yet, but I don’t really need to. I seem to own half of Accessorize. I can’t wait to wear this outfit now, I just need to buy a suitable jacket and pray it doesn’t rain!
